Product Description

Product Description

The NET Bible is a modern English version, with 60,932 footnotes that help explain the translation. It's an entirely new way of looking at translation, that the translators themselves justify the words they choose and provide bibliographic, linguistic and textual support for those words.
This is a premium version for the Kindle with all of the 60,932 footnotes. The content conversion for the eBook version in the mobi/azw format is done by OSNOVA (osnova@gmail.com).

2.0 out of 5 stars Good translation let down by lousy navigation 28 April 2011

Unless the previous reviewer has found some secret way to navigate, the only way to get to a specific book is to go to the table of contents each time and scroll through until you find what you're looking for. This is very laborious and makes you want to go back to your printed version.

I've been using the kindle for a few months now and find it rather annoying that publishers often don't give thought on how the reader can navigate large volumes easily. If you go to church this Bible is useless in following the speaker as they will have moved on to the next reference by the time you get to the first one!

Currently the only bible I have on the kindle that addresses this issue is the ESV Study bible that has created a special index where you can us book abbreviations to quickly find a reference.

It's a shame as the translation and notes are excellent.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good resource 16 Mar 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I have found this NET bible edition on kindle to be a very useful resource for bible as it is packed with additional information on the translation of the text from the original Hebrew and Greek and gives useful insight on why the translators chose to traslate the particular text in the way they did.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 30 Jan 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
It's easy to go from one section of the Bible to another with the inclusion of the TOC and the search facility which the last Bible I had didn't have. I found the notes to technical for my liking.
