the real 70's glam,

This album represents a much more relevant musical revue of the 70's glam which was spearheaded by Bowie and Roxy Music NOT slade or mud. Indeed T Rex made the change in 69 in terms of clothing and music. It is a shame too that Sparks do not get the recognition generally for the totally original and off the wall "This town..." It beats anything by Abba or the Carpenters and is more indicative of the fast changing and eclectic styles that were prevalent before media dictates concentrated on style rather than substance. This is true of most popular culture nowadays.Great album of true heroes of the time (and Greig!)and worth every penny

Awesome Compilation,

If glam rock is your thing, then you will really get off to this cd. Not only does it mix glam with mid 70's pop rock, it goes back to some really outstanding pieces from classic films and nostalgic time. Music flows very well and you can almost feel like you're in Biba while listening to this eclectic mix. This compilation offered by Amazon.com contains only 16 tracks. There's another one (which I haven't been able to get my hands on) which contains 20 tracks. Highly recommened!

Slip on your heels and makeup (that's the girls AND the guys) and wallow in the chocolate syrup velvet decadence that is Biba. Yes...yes...oh god YES!!!
