What a disappointment, the whole point of a sequel is a continuation of the first. But this was completely different, iam so glad that i did not purchase this book but borrowed it from someone. Yes it was nice to read about her career success, but the whole book was about this. It left me wandering what ever happened to the family which was such a big part of book one to not being mentioned at all in this book. And the way it ended well i felt that the authour did not put much effort in this book and it really does show. Sorry but i would not recommend this book, if you are curious as i was after reading Ugly, borrow from library.

No need 12 Feb 2008
Format:Hardcover
Usually I read a book within a week but this sequel was uncalled for. I think all the information in the second book could have been condensed into the first book. There was no insight into what happened with her family apart from the few times she saw her father. This whole book was generally about cosmetic surgery and her trying to break into the law world. I was really looking forward to this book coming out but have found it a real disappointment.

Beyond Ugly 6 Sep 2008
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I am an avid fan of "Ugly" and bought this book because I wanted to continue to follow her story. This book to me doesn't seem to contain the same emotional flow as her first. It's a good read and because you're interested in her you want to keep on reading - I just felt it was slightly rushed toward the end. Still worth reading however and I still admire her courage!

Saw the writer of this book on TV. Thought it would be interesting to read and knew Amazon was the best way to get it at a good price. Which is what happened.

Brilliant!
Having read 'Ugly' the first book, I knew what to expect; I had to read this in 2 days as I found the book capturing! I also learnt alot about court procedures from it.
