Product Description

Review

"Whitaker's pictures range from the stunning to the shocking, but above all, they show a celebration of racing." (Horse & Hound)"

Product Description

Ed Whitaker, the award-winning racing and sports photographer has no equal when it comes to capturing the magic and essence of horse racing. Beyond The Frame is his second collection of images and follows on from his first photographic book, In The Frame, produced in 2008. The book is divided into four themes, Hope, Fear, Work and Rest. Each image captures one of these four sentiments and is linked by his caption describing each photograph. Beautifully produced and printed as a landscape full-colour sumptuous book it will appeal to anyone who follows and appreciates the passionate world of horseracing.

A Masterpiece 24 Oct 2011
This is the sequel to the essential "In The Frame" - Edward's first book. Edward Whitaker's ability to capture the sport of kings in all its moods is without pier. Each image is a study of light and composition - of which Whitaker is a master, in addition to the moment captured.
Whether you are interested from a photographic point of view, and there is much to be enjoyed and learned from this book (technical details of each capture are recorded), or whether it is the love of horse racing that has raised your interest, you will come to cherish this book.
