Time Out
Book Description
A fantastic collection of short stories from one of Britain's highly talented new wave authors, Andrew Hook. Edgy, different, thought-provoking stories that include 'Only The Lonely' - first published in Fusing Horizons (and nominated for a British Fantasy Award for 2004), as well unpublished stories such as 'Kiosk B,' and 'The Luxury of Sleep.' Andrew's first collection - The Virtual Menagerie - was shortlisted for the best collection 2003 British Fantasy Awards.
From the Publisher
Andrew Hook's second collection of stories builds on the success of the British Fantasy Society Award nominated "Virtual Menagerie" (Elastic Press) with twenty-one tales examining human frailties and expectations against speculative, noirish and fantastical landscapes. Rooted in the everyday, his characters implicitly connect with the reader, drawing them into believable scenarios only one step removed from the world that we think we know.
