"Can you imagine a life without the slavery of dieting and constantly controlling your weight? A life without rules about what and how much you eat, without having to "be good"?" is how the book begins, and I certainly couldn't. Or I'd imagine hat life without diets meant being forever fat. It seemed there was no alternative to dieting if I wanted to be slimmer.

Beyond Chocolate is not a diet, nor is it lifestyle change, detox, food plan or any other diet by the back door. It's not filled with rules, gimmicks, no food diaries, no CDs, and absolutely no preaching from the perfect. Instead, Beyond Chocolate offers a way out of dieting hell. Sophie and Audrey offer a selection of tools and strategies to help you get back in touch wth your body along with a real understanding of our complicated relationship with food.

When a friend first told me about this book, I was too scared to buy it incase it simply taught me how to accept being fat which was an unbearable thought. Instead, I discovered a book that understood why I can't just "eat less, exercise more" and why I really couldn't stick to a diet for longer than a day. They don't tell you what to do, they show you how to actually go about doing it in a caring, gentle way.

I could never go back to dieting now. My life has changed considerably for the better. I don't spend all of my time thinking about my next meal and I'm losing weight with hardly any effort at all. I'm not scared of food now. It doesn't rule my life. I'm not constantly hungry and rarely feel *compelled* to eat.

I'm not cured and it's certainly no miracle but it feels like a breath of magical air and I really can't recommend it highly enough.

brilliant book! and fantastic FREE e-mail support from the WONDERFUL chocolate fairies!! i'm very slowly losing weight, but that's no longer my goal-- i'm just enjoying my life for once!! i've accepted my current size, and bought some lovely new clothes-- mostly cheap, but nice , from supermarkets, primark and matalan. i'm taking care with my skin and make-up (i never used to bother) but most satisfying is that i'm choosing better quality food, eating more appropriate portions, and really enjoying exercise that suits me and my lifestyle (no more punishing myself at the gym )! so, i'm experiencing clearer skin, better sleep, and much more energy!!

honestly, these ladies should be discovered by the bbc!! their approach is holistic, simple, and revolutionary. BUT the diet industry will probably PAY to keep them SILENT!!! cos they'll blow the lid off the million-making farce of an industry that enslaves millions in a no-win situation-- i really , really hope that these 2 women do get discovered, and their message heard!! (any journalists out there--please get in touch with the authors)!!

i have no personal reason for saying this! i don't know the authors, and i'm not involved in 'beyond chocolate' in any way, (apart from receiving their free e-mails). i'm just glad to have discovered, at last, an alternative to shelling out to diet club after diet club, and repetitively FAILING!

so, READ the book! it's ACE!!

Beyond chocolate has changed my life!! My only regret is that I didn't read it years ago, I now have a healthy, normal relationship with food, don't weigh myself and am 4 stone lighter!! I thought I would never loose weight, I had tried every diet, tried to accept being big but nothing worked until Beyond chocolate, now I eat what I like when I like and still loose weight. It sounds unbelievable but honestly it works, Sophie and Audrey are both an inspiration, they have both been through the things I had been through and are supportive and sympathetic. When I started reading the book it was as if I was reading my life story so don't delay - buy this book!!
