5.0 out of 5 stars Kathryn Lasky was MAGNIFICENT!!!, 28 Jul 1999
By A Customer
This wonderfully written novel is a great way to show what life was like in Salem, MA in 1692. Although most of the characters are fictional, you will be surprised to find out who really lived in those times in this book. When you reead this book, you will feel as if you are Mary Chase on her quest to save her mother from being killed for the use of witchcraft.

This book really gave me an up-close look at the Salem witch trials and what went on there-from the perspective of a girl my own age. I couldn't stop reading!

1.0 out of 5 stars Boring and stupid, 22 Jun 1999
By A Customer
I thought this book was the stupidest book I have ever read in my whole life. It was so pointless to read about this because it's not happening now, so who cares?
