Wow! What a delightful insight to the world of healthy Indian cuisine ... With easy steps and useful tips, Beyond Brilliant is a 'amateur chefs' (such as myself) magic book for creating meals that are not only delicious and beautiful to the eye, but meals that are healthy (with hardly any recipes containing cream, yogurt or butter) for you and all the family! Having tried a few recipes already, Tandoori Lamb Chops and Masala Chicken to name a few, I have been amazed at how the final product looks equally as good as the pictures in the book... Proving that following the extremely easy and straight forward steps provided makes for perfect traditional punjabi meals right at home!

I heard Dipna speaking about the book on the radio and the cooking tips she was giving were really helpful so I ordered the book immediately as I had been looking for a modern cookery book containing traditional recepies for a while. This arrived yesterday and the first thing I did was scour it for the first recepie to try! I made the matter peneer and it was simple and delicious. I've been trying to learn how to make proper north Indian food for a couple of years and feel like this might be a bit of a turning point. It's instructions are easy to follow, ingredients lists not vast and intimidating and it's beautiful to look at and a pleasure to read! My Punjabi other half was impressed so it can't have lead me far wrong! Definitely recommend this, it's literally brilliant!

The author and chef Dipna Anand has done a superb job constructing this book, in a very professional yet easy to follow way, making it extremely simple and easy to use. Overall it really is Simply Brilliant - living up to the title. So if you haven't got a copy yet, definitely get one!! You won't be disappointed! :)

I am a fairly experienced home curry cook and highly recommend this book to anyone wishing to get authentic, restaurant quality, results. People who attend Indian restaurants rather than Bangladeshi ones will appreciate this book even more as this will get you closer to emulating the punjabi style of cooking more frequently found in Southall, Manchester and Glasgow.

I made the Chicken Tikka Masala sauce yesterday: no cream and no coconut...I'd swear I was looking at the curries of the Shish Mahal of the '70s in Glasgow. What a find!

This book is so useful I have since booked to attend 3 of the restaurant's cookery courses, where the author, Dipna Anand, and her father guide everyone through your the menu and you pick up even more tips whilst getting a chance to cook your own food in the restaurant's tandoor oven. Wow, just wow!

Beyond Brilliant in one word - awesome! This is an excellent purchase the book is brilliantly laid out, with simple clear instructions and pictures. The book brings a brilliant modern healthy twist to Indian cooking, and is beyond brilliantly the first cross over Indian book I have read switching from restaurant cookery to home cookery. There are many familiar recipes in the book found on a take-away cards and also traditional home style cooking. If I lived in London I'd be signed up to take the authors cookery course and visit the restaurant to try the real food and hopefully get my book signed! Well worth the money, I am not a critic but a passionate home cook with a love of Indian food. When will the next book come?

Bought this for my Mum as an Xmas present. She has been cooking Indian food for years, and is a great cook so I was a little worried that she wouldn't be a fan of this. We have actually eaten at Briliant a couple of times and loved it, so I hoped she would appreciate the book by Dipna! So lucky to have hit the nail on the head. This book has become her Indian cooker bible - she even said she wanted to be buried with it! :P The recipes are easy to follow and the flavours are spot on, matching the restaurant dishes. Both my parents absolutely love using it on a weekend and continue to marvel over the dishes they can create. Amazing!
