In 1963 Decca could only sit back and look at what they missed so they signed up the Pete Best 4 who were also Lee Curtis & the All Stars
A year later came the British Invasion and an opportunist executive called Bob Harvey invited the Pete Best 4 to the States to record an album which would appear in 1965 and called Best Of The Beatles on a label called Savage which contained what were the singles made for labels like Original Beatles Drummer,Happenning and Mr Maestro-songs which were good enough to have hit.
Best was never the singer the vocals were handled by Wayne Bickerton and Tony Waddington who would find fame in the 70s via the Rubettes
