Product Description

Product Description

"The entire spiritual search rests on the assumption that there is a separate individual who seeks...." This is a book about the utterly obvious. It's about the spiritual search, and the frustrations surrounding it. It's about those ultimate goals we set ourselves: enlightenment, awakening, liberation, and how those goals can never actually be reached, because - and here's the great discovery - the person who seeks them has no more reality than a presently-arising belief. That is to say, "you" are just a thought, happening now. A sequel to the bestselling " Life Without A Centre: Awakening from the Dream of Separation", this book is packed with clear and vibrant expressions of nonduality. Time and time again, the text gently points back to the futility of both the spiritual search, and the "search to end the search" (another game the mind loves to play). With great humour, compassion and clarity, the book will draw you into a direct confrontation with your own absence, an absence which, paradoxically, is also a perfect presence. This may be the last book a spiritual seeker will ever need."

About the Author

Jeff Foster graduated in astrophysics from Cambridge University. Soon after graduation, life events lead him to an intense two-year spiritual search, culminating in the realisation that there was never anything to find in the first place. He currently writes and talks on what some people have called "non-duality", but which he just refers to as "the utterly, utterly obvious".

A beautiful book. Clear, insightful and enjoyable. This book has helped me immensely. It sets out to do everything that books on non-duality try to do - to express the inexpressable but there is a deep underlying intelligence in the writing that I haven't seen before.

For me personally the whole seeing that there is no one, which at once was so powerful was then overlain by all sorts of angles of pain and confusion which grew into 'me' and 'mine' and problems again. For some reason reading this book has helped to pierce through that confusion with great tenderness and understanding. I'm grateful for it.

Warning all egos, individuals, and any sense of separateness... reading this book may cause the demise of the 'I' and bring fresh life, the abundant life that was already here all along. Jeff Foster demystifies nonduality with clarity, passion, love and humor. A must have for any seeker. The search really could be over for you.

This is the second book by young Non-Dual teacher Jeff Foster, and what can I say,it blew my mind. I wrote a highly favorable review of his first book, and I must say the second one is just as good, perhaps even better.Jeff distills the highly complex Non-dual teachings into short, easily digestible mini-chapters, and each one left me with a bit more clarity. Some of the writing in the book seems to just 'stop!' the mind stone dead, and I just fall into the nothingness each time.As my spiritual path has progressed (and especially since I read Jeff Foster's first book, along with several books by Tony Parsons, David Carse and others) I feel I've been coming closer and closer to something beyond words, something that is timeless and Jeff Foster captures it magnificently, using language that an uneducated old man like me can actually grasp!!.Ive actually given this one to my wife, and although she is not familiar with Non-duality I felt safe that this book would be the right one to introduce her.
In summary, a clear, clear expression of "THIS" (as the author says), and one that will stay with me long after I have finished the final page. Highly, highly recommended. FIVE stars!!
