I've read the reviews of these headphones posted on here and I wonder how long people ran these headphones for before giving their opinion. For the first week or so of having these headphones I thought they were okay - marginally better than the moderate budget Sennheisers they replaced but not worth the price differential. *Then*, after a good few hours of use, these headphones really came into their own. The clarity is astonishing - superb presence, good stereo spread, etc, etc [fill in all the usual superlatives that hi fi nuts insert at this point in a laudatory review]. These are far and away the best sub-£300 'phones I've heard. If anything they are too good for purpose, and will reveal horribly the deficiencies in low bit MP3s (you've been warned!). They don't supplant the £500+ Sennheisers I have for my main system that I bought in a moment of idiocy, but they are still an extremely good product. At the time of buying the price differential between the DTX 100s and the cheaper 'phones in the same range is negligible, so I'd advise snapping them up whilst they are still at a relative bargain price.
