From Amazon.co.uk

Beyblade is an animé tie-in to the high-tech spinning top toys. It has some of the standard faults of the cheaper Japanese animations--such as static backgrounds and overly perky facial design--but it makes inventive use of the idea that the competitions of the Beybladers are the outward manifestation of more occult conflicts in another realm.

Young Tyson is a keen and inventive Beyblader--in the first episode, he works out a way of quadrupling the speed and force of his top--but it helps that his Beyblade is inhabited by the spirit of an ancestral dragon. Thus equipped, he moves through one round after another of an international competition, sometimes in alliance with the haughty Kai and his gang and sometimes opposing them, and always helped by Kenny and Dizzi, the spirit beast that inhabits Kenny's laptop. How much of this you want to watch will ultimately depend on how many duels between spinning tops you are going to be interested in, but the byplay between physical and spirit realms, and the conflict of characters is moderately interesting as well. --Roz Kaveney

Product Description

A group of friends out to win a tournament and save the world! Showdown in Hong Kong
Our heroes arrive in Hong Kong on route to the Asian Beyblade Tournament when they run into Ray's old gang the White Tigers. A confrontation quickly ensures with no one coming out the clear winner.

Battle in the Sky
The first round of the Tournament sees the Bladebreakers facing off against the team called the Tall-Boys, with Ray's ex-team mates, The White Tigers, waiting in the wings.

Bye Bye Bit Beast
The night before the tournament, Kevin decides to steal data from Kenny's computer to get the edge for his White Tiger Team. Unfortunately, Kenny catches him red-handed which sets up a battle between Ray and Kevin, ending in dire consequences.

Adios Bladebreakers
After realising his Bit Beast has gone, Ray decides to head for the mountains in an attempt to get it back. Tyson and Mariah give chase and confront Ray to decide what team he wants to be on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best DVD Yet 15 April 2003
Format:DVD
Best Beyblade DVD yet, comes with a free blade. which is always a bonus since in my area they are harder to come by, and its considerably cheaper if you bought the dvd and blade separately
