This is fantastically easy to install and closes and opens easily. However much our toddler studies us when we open it she can't do it herself!

We bought the Bettacare gate for the stairs to stop our new puppy climbing up! We have fairly narrow stairs which with the accessories which came very quickly fitted perfectly, the auto close is a great feature so no one gets blamed for leaving the gate open.

We bought this to fit our patio doors with them being so narrow; we were lucky as we could still open and close the door with the gate in place. It was a little irritating having to prop it open when we wanted to use it without the kids around, but only a small grievance. The problem came when I wanted to remove it; once it is tightened into place it is extremely hard to get it back off again, as you can't just unscrew it, the bits you turn to tighten the gate lock into place with each twist. I ended up having to literally put my full weight onto it and lean backwards, while my hubby shoved at it from the other side, so that it popped out of the doorframe. I dread to think what damage that might do to wooden or plaster surfaces! So be warned; once in place they stay in place! Does mean that the kids will never be able to get them to come off though :)

Great Narrow Gate
We had a hard time finding a narrow gate that would fit our hall but this one was a perfect fit.

baby gate
Very good gate, through if sightly pushed out of alignment does not automatically close. Very loud 'catching sound', especially when house is quite. Read more
