Betrothed to the Prince by Raye Morgan
Silhouette Romance # 1667 - June 2003
Catching the Crown series - Book 3 of 4
Princess Tianna had been betrothed to Prince Garth Roseanova since they were children. Their marriage will unite the two ruling families of Nabatovia, and soon they will be expected to take their vows as their families are preparing to return to their now rebel free homeland. But Tianna knows nothing of Garth besides the tabloid reports of his playboy exploits and she's come to the decision she doesn't want to marry a man just for duty. With the purpose to convincing Garth that their betrothal should be annulled, Tianna goes to his castle in Arizona and instantly finds herself concealing her identity. A baby has been left on the castle grounds, and by all indications the child is Garth's. In order to protect the child, Tianna poses as a nanny, and vows to get to the bottom of the mystery. Garth is intrigued by the nanny who doesn't act like an employee and doesn't hesitate to take him to task. He doesn't understand why it's so important for the nanny to believe that he is not the child's father, or why he's enchanted both with the baby and the delectable nanny.
I'm really enjoying Ms. Morgan's stories of the Nabatovian royal family. Garth has deeply buried pain from betrayal of a trusted mentor. Tianna also holds deep scars from when she was lost as a child during the flight of the royals from Nabatovia. Discovering that Garth is an honourable man with a most generous heart, Tianna finds herself drawn more and more to the man she is betrothed to. These are two wonderfully written characters. Tianna is not a spoiled royal, but one ready to fight for those too vulnerable to fight for themselves. This is a lovely story that will touch your heart.
