Product Description

"A gripping tale of deceit and betrayal, love, loss, compassion, courage and the all consuming desire to fight for what you believe in. I fell in love with the characters."

5/5 stars, reviewer

"This is a story of hope, love, freedom, and redemption. Turen and Mia are wonderful."
- LJ DeLeon
Bestselling author of Warrior's Rise

What would you do to save your people from extinction?
What if your race held the key to mankind's future?
One Guardian will risk hell to change the future.

Descended from the race of Guardians, Turen's people have survived the last two hundred years, quarantined and isolated. Living in secrecy with no mates and no offspring, they fail to deliver on their ability to replenish and heal human souls through the birth of their Guardian children. Risking his life, Turen chooses capture at the hands of a comrade-turned-enemy to seek answers to change the future.

Mia Bowman has no knowledge of the secret Guardian race. Yet, her uncontrollable, nocturnal summons to Turen's prison cell and her strong sense of justice leave her with little choice but to help him. She can heed his warning and stay clear of his people's problems or she can ferret out the lies and unravel an ancient tale of murder and deceit. It will take an ultimate sacrifice to stop the unexpected evil and reverse a fatal ending to the Guardian line.

THE GUARDIANS OF EDEN:
A race of beings created in a Sanctum at the far edge of Eden. Co-existing with mankind, they safeguarded human souls and the promise of eternity--until a virus killed all over the age of eighteen. The surviving children fled to the Sanctum for protection, children raising children without the full legacy of their history and knowledge. Two hundred years of solitude have produced a race of semi-immortals fortified with powers and intellect but lacking the mates who will make them whole and allow them to fulfill their covenant with mankind.

KH LeMoyne
Betrayal's Shadow
The Guardians of Eden Book 1

From start to finish this book had me completely gripped. Incredibly well written and descriptive, I felt like I was right there, living through every twist and turn Turen and Mia had to endure. The story slowly unfolded, and came together towards the end, leaving the book in a good place but I was also left wanting so much more from the story. The author has created an amazing storyline with well-developed characters, but I'm sure the best is yet to come.

I received an e-copy from the author in exchange for an honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Incredible characters! An absolute MUST READ!!! 1 July 2011
By B. Sharp - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
My thoughts:
This incredible story is not your average tale of good versus evil. This story is so much more than that. It is a story of the seduction of power and it's ability to taint vision and truth. The horrifying reality of a twisted sense of commitment and a covenant gone wrong. It is a story of struggle and sacrifice on a journey to find the truth buried in betrayal, and the price of failure is extinction.
We are introduced to a woman (Mia) who finds herself involuntarily drawn into the terrifying realm of a prison and once there meets a man (Turin) who she, for reasons unknown, is drawn to save. Once they meet, another element is added to our story. The power of love.
KH LeMoyne has created a gripping tale of deceit and betrayal, love, loss, compassion, courage and the all consuming desire to fight for what you believe in.
I fell in love with the characters. Each of them brings something vital to the story.
I found myself laughing and crying throughout the story as my heart bled and rejoiced with them as they struggled.
The characters KH LeMoyne has given us are beings that could only come from the vivid and creative imagination of a writer with a storytellers heart and the talent to bring them to life on paper for us all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best in Urban Fantasy! 30 Sep 2011
By B. Evans - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This was one of the best in urban fantasy that I have read in a long time. A really long time. It's hard for me to give a book a five star rating; it really has to stand out and above other books that I've read of the genre and even above books in other genres. For a while I have been shying away from urban fantasy books; they just seemed...off. But this book was a wonderful change from what I have been reading. At first I didn't get what the backstory was all about and almost abandoned the book but then Turen (the hero) grabbed my attention. This guy is a Guardian: not quite an angel but not a demon either. His kind is charged with guarding humanity but also with preserving themselves as a society. I didn't feel like I needed to go back and read the Old Testament or Paradise Lost to understand what was going on with this book. I like some history and background to go with my stories but with some in urban fantasy, it's like I spend most of my time trying to figure out what in the hell the author is referring to.
Turen is sacrificing himself to try and redeem his former mentor and best friend, but then finds that he needed some redeeming also. Mia is a freelance writer who finds herself transported in a cave with a really big, silent guy. One thing that I liked about Turen was that he was intelligent and patient. This was no Berserker warrior who thrashes everything in sight; this guy has a purpose and the will to see it through. And even the sex came at the right time in the book. No wham-bam's in this book. The sex was hot and totally worth the wait. Great book and one that make you want to read all that are available in the series. I found myself plotting in my head to see what happens next.
I received a complimentary copy of this book in order to review it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Intimate and powerful! A must read for paranormal romance lovers! 25 Jun 2011
By J. Hudock - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
I actually read Warrior Reborn, the second book in the Guardians of Eden series before I read Betrayal's Shadow. As I was reading WR, I found myself wanting to know more about the trials Turen and Mia were forced to endure. Betrayal's Shadow did not disappoint. With just the right combination of intrigue, action and romance, I easily fell in love with the characters and the story.

LeMoyne crafts powerful characters and even as she throws devastating and terrifying trials at them, she still manages to pull them through. By the time you reach the last page, you feel completely satisfied.

I cannot wait to dive deeper into The Guardians of Eden series as she releases more books. The characters she's introduced us to in book one and two have really touched my heart and feel like old, familiar friends I'll want to revisit again and again.
