5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute Bargin! 14 May 2010
Just received this from amazon (offciial seller) and am delighted. However cheap it was it still does everything i require. Yes its a bit of an effort to pump up a tire at the top end of its pressure range but its a mini-pump at the end of the day! The guage is very useful even though you have to stop pumping to look and it works perfectly on my presta valve!
One downside is that the holder holds the pump to the side of the frame rather than on top but this is because its designed to sit under a bottle holder if you want. Mine is attatched to the vertical post and its no trouble to pedal!
5*

5.0 out of 5 stars GET YOU HOME PUMP! 3 Aug 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase
This pump is ten and a half inches long and weighs 5 ozs. As other reviewers have said, would take a lot of time and effort to inflate a flat tyre, on the other hand its good for emergencies and small enough to take on any journey. Better than no pump!!

It seems well made and I found it locked on to my valves ok. The gauge can be seen when pumping up the tyre, so long as the wheel is rotated so the valve is at the top.

The bike frame mount supplied with the pump includes bolts and is designed to fit under any bottle cage you may have fitted and using the same mount holes. That is why the pump sits to one side of the mount.

Good value for a 'get you home' accessory.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but hard work 5 Feb 2012
By merlin
I agree with Wayne's review of 20 Nov 2010. Initially I didn't think the pump worked at all as my tyres were already pumped to about 35 psi and after many many pumpstrokes the gauge didn't move. I let all the air out and then the pumped up to about 35 psi ok. This pump is ok as a light weight (it weighs 5 ozs) emergency pump but you need an easier one at home. I really struggled to pump the (hybrid type) tyres above 40 psi. Also I found it worked better with schrader valves than presta ones - the gauge seemed to be more temperamental with presta valves.
After struggling to pump a tyre up to 35-40 with this pump I then used an old fashioned barrel pump with a flexible tube and pumped it up to 45 psi relatively easily. The flexible tube means there's no stress on the valves and you can pump much quicker. Why are manufacturers persisting in making these rigid pumps when the old barrel types are much easier?????
