I've always been a fan of the late 1930's and 1940s, both the fashion and music, so I thought I knew what to expect from this but it is just so much better.

Great Andrews sisters-style harmonies coupled with some interesting covers of modern tracks. It had me dancing around the front room!

Get your money out, you won't regret it.

Wow - all I can say is that these sisters are the coolest gals around! Having seen the girls play live and heard a few tracks online, I know that this promises to be the most exciting album of the year. A perfect blend of jazz, the Andrews Sisters and toe-tapping brilliance, The Puppini Sisters play a mix of old-time standards and really liven things up with their fabulous take on some more modern tunes. Their three part harmonies are just delightful and having been blown away at their live shows I can't wait to hear this full length player.

An explosion of camp energy, old-time glamour and sassy fun, these three ladies look set to inject 2006 with a huge dose of Puppini magic.

"Betcha bottom dollar" by The Puppini Sisters:

I was initially intriguiged as to what the Puppini sisters' cover versions of Blondie's "Heart of Glass" and The Smiths "Panic" sounded like, as well as their the renditions of classic songs like "Mr Sandman" - Well, the entire CD proved to be a joy to listen to on a rainy afternoon, and indeed a sunny one as well .... Brilliant stuff - even if you're not particularly afan of the 40's or 50's you will probably stil enjoy hearing some popular songs re-made in a caberet style ...

Buy it!!! Recommended by the ultimate music freak!!

Mel.

Clear, precise harmony. Some old time classic big band sounds with some 40's songs....and a few modern surprises pushed out to that big band style.....

I've never heard anything like it - in a good way!

I might need to buy another copy...this one is being played to destruction!

Being a big fan of 30's and 40's big band swing and a boogie woogie pianist, I was dubious about a 'revival' of my favourites. With the first song of their album, I was bouncing around the house like a madman.

The Puppini Sisters have done an absolutely stupendous job in reigniting and carrying the flame of groups like the Andrews Sisters into todays' pop music culture - baring in mind the originals themselves were of the pop genre (albeit in the 40's).

To everyone reading this: ignore any negative press you may have heard, anyone who denies these three angels have an abundance of pure, untouched and downright rare talent can't understand real music.

This is fantacy island music, its Dita Von Tease reading Gore Vidal's Myra Breckenridge (if you read it you will know what I mean). Its boogie woogie kate bush and perfect for all those retro moments when womwn were real women and men were.... not around.

Along with polka-dot skirts and bows on shoes, we now have the Puppini Sisters to give us a sound track for the new era... funnily enough looking exactly like a replica of the 1940s!! No, seriously, this album ROCKS. I heard them on the BBC, looked them up and a fan has been born!! Try them out. You can't help but love them!!

As a massive music fan, I spend most of my time being disappointed by a lot of the music floating around nowadays. Only rarely do I come across something different and new, and this really is something wonderfully different and ingeniously new. Don't be fooled by the tongue-in-cheek appearance of the Puppini Sisters, these girls have some cracking songs on this album and I simply can't wait to unleash them onto unwitting party guests. Girl Power is back... um, from the 1940s!
