This book should be entitled "Weekend quilts and Crafts for those who LOVE Appliqué". Most of the projects have some sort of addition in the form of appliqué or embroidery.

There are 65 projects from 12 different designers. I didn't count the list as the content page is in paragraph form rather than a table listing. The general instructions are only 2 pages long so you best know how to quilt/appliqué/sew before you start.

Each project has a colored photo of the finished object, a materials list set off in a colored box and cutting and assembly instructions. There are not a lot of graphics in the how-to steps. Any templates used are included at 100% so no copying needed. Some of the projects are wall hangings, quilts, pillows, bags, tablecloths, runners, napkins journal covers, photo frames and a footstool. There are more than what I listed.

If you are looking for a book with lots of different projects that need appliqué/embroidery to complete, this is a good purchase.

This book is well thought out,it's photography is warm and welcoming and one is able to see great detail. A lot of applique but washable felt is a good medium for this and quick too. Reading through some of the projects if all materials were gathered then a weekend should be fine amount of time. Joyce Lane xxx

Quilts & Crafts 28 May 2009
By Linda S. Curran - Published on Amazon.com
I haven't made any of the crafts from this book, but they are cute. I did make a quilt using a pattern from this book, but there are more "craft" items than actual quilts, which is what I do. It's a nice book, but not my favorite -- since I'm strictly a quilter.

Nice compilation of older patterns 1 Jan 2013

I found that I had several of the patterns already in previously published books. A needed reminder to self...check my bookshelf first.
