Product Description

Product Description

The Internet is a brilliant source of information for homework. But the choice of information can also be overwhelming. How do you make sure that children find the best websites and avoid the bad ones?

Andy Seed has done the work for you! He has searched the Web for the most useful websites for children aged 7-11, and he presents his recommendations in this handy guide, clearly organised by school subject. An incredibly useful little book for all key stage 2 pupils and their parents.

About the Author

Andy Seed is a former primary school teacher who has produced a wealth of educational material, much of it web-based. He now runs an e-learning consultancy.

The book recommends lots of websites for English, Maths and Science as well as quite a few for other subjects. It also has general reference sites which are useful for finding information. My daughter has used it a lot and it has helped her (and me) to save time searching for things. Children these days seem to have so much homework at primary school that a book like this is essential in my view.
One or two of the websites in the book no longer work but most of them are excellent and it's far better than trying to trawl through endless pages listed by Google etc.

Good website tips 29 Jan 2011
By Jo A
Format:Paperback
This book is a good source of educational website addresses with a short summary of what they are about. My son thumbs through and picks what he fancies, and I think that it would help encourage learning for those kids who love using the Internet. I would have given it more stars but some of the pages are no longer available and the book needs updating. That said, it's not expensive and so worth having just for the info that is correct. Covers all areas from ICT, maths, english, art etc.
