Incomplete directions lead you to use a subscription based website 4 Jun. 2011

This book has attractive layout, and directs the reader to some scenic parts of the UK.

The book requires the reader to download 'additional information' from the book's associated website. This website requires a login and, for access to walks, a paid subscription. So you pay for the book, and then have to pay to use it.

As an example, the walk presented on p.158 begins 'From the bus stop'. No information is provided on the page to locate the bus stop. The box labelled 'Access Information" advises that 'The start and end point is easily accessible from Eastbourne town centre, with a bus stop only a short distance away'. No further information is supplied, aside from a very high level diagrammatic map that indicates that the stop is on the A259, and the possibility of working out how to get to the start from the description of the last point on the route, which refers to a pub that you can presumably Google. The book, therefore, simply functions as an advert for the website. No free subscription accompanied the book at purchase.
