I Love this song! Those vocals...just WOW! Beyonce said she used the tone of her live vocals for this album and it shows. best her recorded voice has ever sounded. and it's catchy as hell. can't stop playing it. and this is the 2nd official single. 1+1 was a promotional single

EXCEPTIONAL VOCAL PERFORMANCE

Your previous singles from the upcoming "4" album were mediocre at best (Run The World - Girls and 1+1). However, this song is so wonderfully produced and sung. I was hooked from my very first listen. The third time is definitely the charm Beyonce. Bravo!

Not Her Best Thing

When it has came down to Beyonce', the songs from the upcoming record 4 feel like they have been a real waste of talent. I have been honestly very dissapointed in her songs 1+1 & Run The World (Girls,) which have show that she has lost her power in her music. That honestly has shown with her songs not doing very well either. Her latest song Best Thing I Never Had, the third single from the upcoming 4 record feels like a waste on her voice, and the song feels like another replay of her 2006 hit Irreplaceable, lyricly. I feel that she has lost a lot of spirit, and she needs to find much more of it. With 4 coming around soon, there really should be more from her musically, and it hasn't shown at all. We'll see when what happens, but this song isn't even close to the best thing Beyonce' has ever had.
