Format:Audio CD
I lost count long ago of the number of 60s compilations that come and go, all with more or less the same tracks, but in a different order. This one has got 84 of them, enough to keep any oldies party going for most of the evening; bearing in mind that anyone who knows all of these songs, or bought the singles at the time, are now well into their 50s, perhaps it's as well that they're not all for dancing!
The Union Flag on the cover belies the fact that 50% of the tracks are American, but no matter, there's not one duff one on there (even P J Proby and The Seekers have their attractions, in retrospect), and when the dancing flags you can always sing along. Come the end, everyone three sheets to the wind, what could be more apt than "Lily The Pink" and "Seven Drunken Nights?"
One remarkable inclusion on this collection is Mike Sarne's original "Come Outside", to my knowledge for the first time on a compilation CD.
As an introduction to 60s pop (outside the obvious), as a party record, or as replacement for a boxful of old 7" singles, this is hard to fault, a corker.

Having bought this last year I was dismayed when it was borrowed and never returned. Quite simply the best cd i have ever bought I had to replace it and could find it nowhere but on Amazon. I am now enjoying every single song on here not a track on it you feel you have to skip. Well done the compilations team.

I can highly recommend this CD for any fan of the 60's. I understand it is only available in the USA and the efforts in getting the CD to me by Elite Digital were first class. I have no hesitation in providing a 5 star rating for both the music and the suppliers. Well done, and it is heart warming today to find a supplier that genuinely believes in customer service - many thanks. I can now enjoy one of the best 60's compilation discs ever put together.
