5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic Game! 9 Feb 2007
By Akida93
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
when I was first presented this, I didn't think much of it, being more interested in strategy or 'Tycoon' games. However, The Simpsons Hit and Run turned out to be a great gaming experience. I won't spoil it for you, but I'll tell you about what made this game so great:

Graphics - quite good. This game doesn't rely on special effects alone to impress you. I've seen games (and films) which are all graphics and no real plot or storyline.

Storyline - Funny with an ironic twist.

Vehicles - Plenty to choose from, from the family sedan to the Mr Plow truck. Or you could just stop a car from the road, hop in and go for a ride!

Missions - Fun with all the adrenaline flowing. For once, the missions are actually challenging and not ridiculously easy.

Humour - lots of it, making the game light-hearted and enjoyable.

I could go on forever, but there isn't enough space. What I'm saying is that The Simpsons Hit and Run is a great game that I am proud to have played. Ignore the other bad reviews; they don't know a good game when they see one.

4.0 out of 5 stars My 8 year old loves this, but beware Direct X... 14 Dec 2004
By A Customer
Great product, my 8 year old bought it back in June and plays for 30 mins a day every day (and would play more if we let him), now almost finished for the second time and still enjoying it. I printed off the instructions, but he's done most of it intuitively anyway. Lots of driving about crashing into things, with missions to complete, coins to collect and different cars to purchase.
Be warned tho', running it under Windows ME, I had to upgrade from Direct x 6.0 to the latest download available (v9) to get it to work and this stopped my younger son's games working (like Thomas the Tank Engine). Apart from that, good value for money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great all round! 26 Feb 2006
This is a great budget game which never fails to amuse even the most serious of people. The graphics are good and there are handy short-cuts and different racing helpers to help you pass tasks. If you really can't pass a task after several tries you can skip it. Excellent game the only down-side is a long installation time and you have to be there all the time swopping the disks. Well worth the money.

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
This game is a lot of fun, I have previously had this game on PS2 but it is better on the computer I think. 3 stars because, as I said, this game's fun, but I had a bit of trouble when I tried to uninstall it, and I had to download 'REVO UNINSTALLER' to get rid of it!

Fun: 4.0 out of 5 stars
Bought this product to my sun and he think it is fun. However, there is a reading error from game which sometimes make the game to hang up.

This error was reported and instead of that Amazon would be the contactinterface you asked the costomer to deal with the subsuplier which is not the prefered way I would like it to be.
