A very good double album. It features two songs from The Proclaimers, a few other songs like Pilot Magic, a Runrig song, etc. etc. One of the best things about this album is it has the Wolfstone track on here called "Battle" (they've called it "The Battle" on here). If you've never heard celtic and rock together then i seriously reccomend that song - and this is one of the easiest ways to get the song. A brilliant album too which i reccomend anyhow.

5.0 out of 5 stars A bit of everything 27 Jan 2001
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
The very fact that the only link between each artist or song is that it is Scottish lends to the attraction of this compilation. I dont want to skip tracks as each one has it's own merit. One minute Stop your tickling Jock then Baker Street with Gerry Rafferty. Try it with the random play set on your hi-fi!

5.0 out of 5 stars A jewel in the crown of a magnificent series 19 Nov 2012
Format:Audio CD
The Best Scottish Album in the World ... Ever is another wonderfully eclectic mixture, perhaps even, the 'jewel in the crown' of this never less than exciting series from Virgin records. Both a showcase of Scottish talent, and an insight into the Scottish psyche, The Best Scottish Album ... Ever, is a compilation whose aparently disparate content serves to show the pride of Scotland's nationhood, demonstrating the Scottish tenacity to 'come up trumps' every time. It is on cd 2, that this album really 'lets its hair down', with a truly fabulous run of non stop quality 'pop', delivered in juke box type delivery, with the verve keeping coming, as the Scots tune into our airways, perhaps never more effectively here, than when Big Country combine blistering electric guitar work with traditional Scottish melody, thereby delivering Scottish music to the Rock lovers of the world.
