Book Description

22 Jan 2014
I tried everything. Changing shoes, changing nutrition, changing my running form and changing my training plan. I even prayed to the running gods! It didn't matter. Every time I'd bolt out the door for a run something new would hurt. I was a broken down, frustrated runner. The most common pain was in my calves and I used to joke that you could flip a coin for which one was going to hurt that day. Because of this, I wasn't getting fitter and my times certainly weren't getting faster (in fact, they were getting slower). Running wasn't fun. Even though it seems like only yesterday, that was five years ago. At the time, the more things I changed, the more it felt like I was wasting my time. But slowly my running started to improve. My body felt better...and healthier. I got fitter...and I got faster. I'm an experimenter at heart - I love tinkering with different things and trying to figure out not only what works...but what works the BEST. In this case, I was after the secret sauce of running. And I believe I've found it. In this book you'll receive not only the 50 Best Tips EVER for Running Fitter, Faster and Forever, you'll also receive: - Instructional videos on running drills, flexibility and running-specific strength training - Training pace calculator - 6 audio downloads for mental toughness - 8 training programs ranging from 5k to marathon - 5 bonus videos on barefoot running, overuse injuries and how building a better butt will lead to a better life :) And MUCH MORE! 5.0 out of 5 stars A Must for Anyone Getting Back into Running 17 Jan 2014
By Books4Life - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
As a former runner thinking to get back into it in my 40's I snatched this book right up. I wasn't disappointed, but was a little sheepish at some of the things I'd been doing wrong. Welle explains the hows and whys of preparing your body for running, including strength training, mobility and recovery. He also explains the proper techniques for running so that you do not destroy your body but benefit from the activity.

thanks for such a compacted book about a sport i love.
I really appreciated the explanation of how lactic acid build up in our bodies. I've been about to share this info with clients as well.
I think everyone who runs would do themselves good with a simple explanation like Scott shares.

5.0 out of 5 stars My First Running Book 20 May 2014

Format:Kindle Edition
I'm a teen and just starting running. I saw this book and decided I should learn some tips. The book is well written and provided great advice. The book is an easy read and I learn a great deal.
4.0 out of 5 stars Good book an th videos are helpful 24 July 2014
By Jimmy L James - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
The book is good I enjoyed the usage of videos in explaining concepts. Sometimes the proper way to perform a drill is difficult to figure out from a text description only. The glossary of terms at the end of the books was helpful also. A lot of the term use in running books are understood by runner/athletes and not as easy to figure out if you are a novice.
