4.0 out of 5 stars Enough good songs to make it worthwhile. 10 Feb 2014
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
There is some fun to be had with this book and the duet parts do sound good together.

Not really for beginners, but then it doesn't claim to be - My dad, my son and I would prob be grade 4 to 6 if we sat exams and found most of the songs playable after a bit of (fun) practise.

This is the first duet book we have bought and I was a little suprised that the lead part (printed on the right page) had 2 treble cleffs and the 2nd part (on the left hand page) had 2 bass cleffs - So the Lead part was playing treble cleff with left hand and the second part was playing bass cleff with right hand. This could well be standard for duets, but it takes some getting used to and I'm sure that it would be much easier to play a treble and bass cleff each, with the parts just being played an octave or two apart.
