Product Description

'Every day a witty, sharp gem of social comment ... his brilliant work is the yardstick by which the rest are judged' Terry Wogan Matt started drawing his much-loved cartoons for the Daily Telegraph in 1988. Now, in addition to the best of 2008, multi-award-winning cartoonist, Matt has taken a look back over the last twenty years and chosen his favourites. His cartoons are on the front page of the Daily Telegraph and three slots on Sundays, giving his own take on the world we live in. From the often-absurd world of politics, to sport, the beleaguered heath service and seemingly endless transport traumas, Matt takes a unique and brilliantly entertaining look at life, giving it a brighter, funnier twist. 'That rare thing: a daily cartoonist who never fails' The Times.

5.0 out of 5 stars ANOTHER MODEST BRITISH GENIUS, 14 Nov 2008

I own a complete set of MATT's books and we buy the TELEGRAPH on Saturday.
The gods gave us MATT. May we long enjoy him!
One of his great points is that everything is told in such a nice way, with nice looking characters, which adds to the power of
the invention and drawing.

Using Amazon's post-it-anywhere facility, I was able to send Matt's book to my daughter in New Zealand, just to remind her what she is missing. I hope it has inspired her to come home soon.

4.0 out of 5 stars Best of Matt 2008, 4 Jul 2009

Great little book. Matt is the Daily Telegraph daily cartoonist and has won many awards. The jokes are even funnier with hindsight. He is my No 1 Cartoonist. Great buy at the price. Makes a good small gift to send through the post.
