From Amazon.co.uk

In this unforgivingly hard-hitting thriller, Danny (Stephen Graham) and his friend Joseph (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), are faced with a terrible ultimatum. To pay off Danny’s mounting debts to crime boss Curtis (David O’Hara), Joseph must battle his way through a number of unliscensed cage fights. As the fights get tougher so their friendship will be tested to the very limit…

Product Description

David Blair directs this British drama, loosely inspired by John Steinbeck's novel 'Of Mice and Men'. Set in Nottingham, the film revolves around the relationship between the thuggish Danny (Stephen Graham) and Joseph (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), a giant of a man with a mental age of seven. When Danny finds himself in debt to a local crime boss, he feels he is left with no choice but to manipulate Joseph into participating in a series of underground cage fights from which Danny can profit. Salvation appears to call out to both men when they begin relationships with Lisa (Emma Stansfield) and Isabel (Maxine Peake), but will they be able to escape the bloody world of gambling and fighting Danny has plunged them into?

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant British film 20 Feb 2012
Format:DVD
This film will make you laugh, cry, despair and give you hope! The acting is amazing and it is a pity it hasn't had a more widespread cinema release.

Prepare yourself as this is one of those films that stays in your mind after you finish watching.
