While the music on this album is acceptable, the style of playing is very touristy...typical of what one would hear played anywhere _except_ in Hawai`i.

I was born in Hawaii, and was planning a luau for friends, and thought this would be great background music for the luau. It was not. There really is nothing "Hawaiian" about it. There is a slide guitar being played, but not by anyone who is Hawaiian. Very disappointed, but really for the price, what did I expect?

For the price, this 2 CD set is an exceptional value. The songs are a good rendition of Hawaiian favorites. Unless you buy the music when you hear it in Hawaii, this set gives you a practical taste of Hawaiian music available on the mainland. I thoroughly enjoyed "All the Best From Hawaii".
