I was very impressed with this light book for small children to introduce them to the idea of wheelchair users. I have aged 2 and 4 and they love it, although i have to keep it out of reach otherwise the pop-up will be no more! A nice story and with a little poetic licence you can read it & assure your little ones that wheelchair users are jsut like everyone else and are capable of many 'normal' things.

My child and I love this book ! It's pop ups are fun , the illustrations are great. I find it a positive book either for a disabled child or not , as it's message of a childhood best friend can be understood by any child. I find it nice how the book does not put emphasis on the disability of James , just on the things that he and the girl do together and how much fun they have . Nice buy !

Found this book really helpful in promoting positive image of children with different abilities used thus to help the children in my class appreciate that everyone is unique and enabled us to discuss with the children questions they may have had

Excellent book with lovely pictures and a nice story line. A good one for reception age children.
