After recording his debut album for Studio One (1971s If I Follow My Heart) when he was just a teenager, Dennis Brown was one of reggaes most consistent hit-makers and stayed popular with Jamaican audiences during every phase of his long career. He enjoyed worldwide commercial success with 1979s Money In My Pocket, a UK top 20 hit, and was therefore able to start his own label and in 1981 was signed to A&M Records. During the mid 70s he and producer Niney The Observer made some of the best music of their respective careers together. This album collects those collaborations and adds tracks from their '90s reunion. In 1999 Dennis Browns career was cut short when he died of a collapsed lung. He was 42 years old. Tracks: Westbound Train / Cassandra / Tenement Yard / Tribulation / Africa / Here I Come (Love And Hate); Jah Come Here (Dennis Brown & I Roy) (Previously Unreleased Extended Mix) / Whip Them Jah Jah / Wolf And Leopards; Step On The Dragon (Dennis Brown & I Roy) (Previously Unreleased Extended Mix) / Give A Helping Hand / Run Too Tuff / Created By The Father / Black Liberation / Oh What a Day / Spellbound / Coming Home Tonight / Give Me Your Loving / Cant Take Another Day / My Whole World.
