I previuosly had the 2005 version and found this excellent and very accurate. This new version is not as good as there are fewer campsites reviewed particulaly if you are travelling to Germany. There are hardly any in the Heidelberg area and I know there are lots in this tourist area which I would be glad to have reviewed ( the Rogers team is at fault here not the book). Also the old version had 2 sets of maps one with campsite positions and one with the towns on. This one does not have the map with the campsites by number/name on so more difficult to select the one you want . However the explanations are still good and although the prices can be a little vaque - large bands eg pitch E9.60 - E19.60 ??? Lot of difference! -the descriptions are clear and directions precise.

If the most important thing about your holiday is the condition of the toilet facilities, at the expense of pleasant or scenic location, then this is the book for you.I find it very hard to believe that many of these reviews were independent in any meaningful way.
