Biography

Blues legend B.B. King has been spending time this year thinking about "The B.B. King That Was." Product Description

* An eighteen-track mid-price Best Of from the King of the Blues.

* A companion to Ace's recent full price "Best Of The Early Years" (CDCHD 1150), this is ideal for an impulse purchase.

* Rather than concentrating purely on hits, this set includes several tracks that the casual listener will know, as they were re-recorded with Eric Clapton for the "Riding With The King" album. In addition, many of these tracks are included in B.B.'s live act to this day.

* Included are the definitive versions of classics such as `Rock Me Baby', `Everyday I Have The Blues', `Sweet Little Angel', `3 O'Clock Blues' and `Sweet Sixteen'.

Great collection of vintage BB 18 Jan. 2009

Original material from the 1950s and early 1960s. Very good sound quality, nice selection of tunes (including "Five Long Years" which is not on any other collection like this that I could find), and a bargain price. It's all good, baby!
BB and Lucille 25 Sept. 2014

BB King is the King of the Blues guitar. He named his guitar "Lucille." BB's roots were in Mississippi, but he went North as soon as possible. This is a very good CD for the lovers of Blues.
