I was asked by my mom to order this item for my dad, he's just discovered Andre Rieu, and came across this cd. He was over the moon with it!
I had read the reviews of this album(always read the reviews for everything) and a lot of them weren't favourable, so I wondered whether I'd bought the right one, and I'm pleased to say that yes I had. This album was everything we wanted, even though it's not my usual cup of tea in musical tastes, the music was actually really good, and I'm glad to say that he managed to win me round.
I know people have different tastes but why they had to be so critical in the reviews is beyond me. Music quality was good, sound was good, and it was a good variety of his music (I'm getting quite knowledgeable about Andre now, my dad watches him on the tv whenever he is on, and makes me watch too) so the only thing I can say is give this album a go, it's well worth the money!

THIS CD IS THE BEST OF ANDRE RIEU'S COMPILATIONS. THE SALON ORCHESTER MAASTRICHT - LIVE - IS EXTREMELY GAY AND GIVES YOU A VERY CHEERFUL DAY.

I actually purchased this for my 89 year old auntie and you know what it is absolutely brilliant, No he's better than that.Best of Andre Rieu

Disappointing
This CD was compiled in 2007 and doesn't sound remotely like his other CDs and DVDs. I found it difficult to believe it actually was Andre Rieu. Read more

Video was fantastic! Invited friends to watch it alternating it with dinner. It was a lovely evening as we like classical music

Magic Two
Another wonderful DVD by Andre. He is very amusing, very talented and always encourages the audience to participate in his concerts. I would rather listen to this than watch TV
