This book was mandatory for a writing class in college. I found it to be quite enjoyable. The truest way to appreciate each story is to put thought into each one individually. It can't be read like a chapter book. Each story has a meaning and point it is trying to present to you, and as the reader, it is your chance to figure it out. I especially enjoyed "the Heifer". The artist painted such a graphic mental picture that still haunts me.
