I first looked at this particular brand of Acai berry because of the veggie caps. I had to look up whether freeze dried or extract was better, and from what I found, freeze dried is the preferred state Win. This particular product also benefits from not being a weird proprietary blend. Honestly, if I want to have green tea extract and chromium, I'll take them separately. I want to take what I want to take, and not be bound by someone else's ideas of what that should be.While acai berry is, in general, promoted as a super food antioxidant, it's used mainly as a diet aid. If you think you are going to swallow this or any pill and get skinny, you're in for a whole lot of disappointment. What this does, at least for me, is make it so that when I cut my caloric intake to the point my health care providers have recommended, taking the acai berry makes it not hurt so much. It makes me not think about food all the time. It tricks my body into not minding that I'm depriving it of the calories it needs to maintain weight. Weight loss can happen, and I am able to maintain my will power. So if you think you can swallow these caps and magically become svelte, yeah, not going to happen. If you want to put in the hard work, but have a little help with controlling yourself on the hard days, this is the product you want. I will point out that a lot of people seem to want to do a colon cleanse with this. I think that's the quacky part of any dodgy reputation acai might have picked up. Also, in the early days there were a lot of e-scams around acai. That's got nothing to do with the berry. Buying it this way, cash for goods, will avoid that pitfall.
