Better box coming in Jan 2014 31 Dec. 2013
By David Alt. - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
For the same price as this item, Decca - 4786360 has 36 CDs, which include all these 3 symphonic cycles, PLUS Haitink also doing the Beethoven, Schumann, and Tchaikovsky cycles. It's difficult to understand why Decca offered 2 such overlapping boxes at about the same time, but there you go. It's unlikely that this item has a better booklet, since 4786360 has a 160 pg booklet in 3 languages with essays on all 6 composers.

I enjoy the music, but the same performances, plus others, are available in a much better alternative set 26 April 2014
By Gengler - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
The music, conducting and playing are all wonderful if Haitink is your cup of tea.
But as a previous reviewer as noted, Decca, in an instance of marketing absurdity, has issued another box set containing these same performances along with the symphony cycles of Beethoven and Tchaikovsky at virtually the same price. Here's the direct link:
