I bought this guide as I was going to spend a couple of days in Riga. It was very useful to know what to see, how to plan your visit and provides enough photographs to make you an idea of the beauty of this city and also provides history and facts about Latvia. The list of restaurants could be enlarged, but was enough for me. Also the maps are good and clear to orientate yourself. Big advantage is the small size of the book that allows it to bring it in an small bag of coat pocket.

When you've done whatever research you do before you go away, this is the only guide you'll need to take with you on your trip, it really has got everything in a genuine pocket sized format. In addition to the usual tourist information, the cleverly situated city map on the inside front cover and some useful Latvian phrases on the inside back cover couldn't be handier. Phil Clasper

A brilliant guide to the city, full of great sites and information, it was invaluable when I visited Riga a couple of years ago, the small size makes it so easy to carry around with you, a must buy!
