Berlitz do what they set out to do, that is give one the outline of what the country has to offer a tourist. This can be read prior to the trip so that one can plan what sounds to be interesting for exploring upon arrival. It is also such a handy book to carry around while on the trip and therefore becomes a reference book which is easy to refer to and importantly does not take up much room.
