Hi it Looks like Berghaus have got it right in every way with this backpackI use it for long or short walks and even as an overnight bag its very versatile Just practice packing it for long walks so many pockets you can forget were you have stashed your toffees,phone etc

This is a very good rucksack, very adjustable for a comfortable carry position.The only downside is that it is quite heavy and that is an issue for anyone doing a long trek.

Overall this pack is excellent. Main compartment is easy to use and access, side pockets are handy (even if the compression straps do restrict access), bungee pockets are handy. Adjustable height back is v.handy and all other straps have lots of room but loops are a little small to get fingers/hands in, no chance with gloves! Walking pole holdings are nice to see but restrict access to main compartment when used (which I personally don't). Waist straps are very easy to adjust as are load adjusters. Key clip is nice to see in flap compartment (oo-er!). Freeflow back is the selling point here, improved yet again over 2010 model!Rain cover works but is upside down on 2011 models (2010 were installed at the top) and overall there doesn't seem to be much hi-viz markings (although this last point has not been tested at night, it might just be very subtle) Review may seem negative but I'm being picky due to the cost.
