5.0 out of 5 stars Great DaySack 12 Nov 2011
Colour Name:Black/Grey| Size Name:35+8|Verified Purchase
I bought this bag to replace a much loved and heavily used rucksack for hill and mountain climbing.

The back system is very adjustable, comfortable and light. essentially the internal compartment is/can be split in two the bottom portion being assessable by another zip- really useful to keep first aid kit at the bottom (as i usually carry quite a large one) and other things like a bothy bag.

Side pockets will accept standard sigg bottles, the hydration reservoir pouch said it will fit a 2l but have fitted a 3litre snugly and the attachments for the hoses etc are adequate for purpose, the top pocked is alse nice and large and you can fit wallet, sunglasses non-SLR camera/small pack water proof comfortably. The only thing i was slightly scepitcal about was the pole/axe loops and retaining straps but have used plenty and they've never failed.

I'm very happy with this bag and as always has the excellent quality expected from Berghaus.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good ,very adjustable, but a bit heavy 7 Sep 2011
Colour Name:Black / Blue|Size Name:35+8
This is a very good rucksack, very adjustable for a comfortable carry position.
The only downside is that it is quite heavy and that is an issue for anyone doing a long trek.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great daysack 24 Feb 2012
By MartynJ
I bought this as a large daysack to replace an old Karrimor which always gave me a sweaty back.

Bought for £48, it's great value for money. Loads of pockets, and loads of room. The main sack is shallow front to back, but if you want a gap between the sack and your back, and you don't want the sack to make you lean forward because the weight is too far back, then there's no avoiding it.

Straps all adjust well and are comfortable. There are extra adjustments to raise and lower the overall sack position, and the chest strap. It seems very well made. The freeflow system does keep your back a lot cooler. The rain cover is a bonus.

Overall, and excellent sack with lots of nifty design features.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent backpack 3 Dec 2011
Colour Name:Black / Blue|Size Name:35+8
I bought this rucksack because I needed a bit more space than I had in my 25 litre rucksack and it's great. It has handy, accessible pockets for thin items such as maps on the front, and for hat and gloves on the top and another for more valuable itemsinside the top. It has deep net pockets on either side that can easily accommodate a flask or 1 litre water bottle. The main pocket has loads of room for clothes and a big item like a 17 inch laptop and the separate pocket at the bottom means you can get a lightweight sleeping bag in separately or store wet clothes away from everything else. It also has a full rain cover tucked away at the bottom which kept all my stuff dry and didn't blow off in particularly bad weather. I've used it so far for walking, working outdoors and just to throw some stuff in for weekends away and it it's been great for all, only potential drawback is that I can't get my bulky old sleeping bag into the bottom pocket but i'd probably just use a full size rucksack if I needed to do that. I highly recommend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for a weeks walking!! 16 July 2012
Verified Purchase
I used one of these rucksacks when I walked the first 100 miles of the Pennine Way in March. I was staying in B&B's and pubs along the way and this rucksack was exactly the right size for all my gear (bearing in mind that I didn't have to pack tent, sleeping bag, mat, stove etc...) It seems to be very well laid out (although I didn't use the bladder compartment, I prefer bottles) and tough enough for the job in hand. An excellent buy, I thoroughly recommend!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good stuff 17 April 2012
Colour Name:Black / Blue|Size Name:35+8
Good quality and well made. Not used it in any extreme weather as yet but that's why it has the extra pull out cover. The frame is light and well adjustable so it does not bother my back even when fully loaded. Good number of pockets and generally ideal for a short weekend or long walk!

5.0 out of 5 stars All you could want in a backpack 25 Sep 2012
Verified Purchase
Purchased to replace a 25L pack which was just too small for longer day walks whilst carrying spares clothing and plenty of food and drink. Very comfortable with plenty of adjustment, the Freeflow back kept me dry, which is an absolute must! Plenty of space for all I needed and the integrated raincover is a godsend when the showers inevitably arrive. A small zipped pocket in the hipbelt would have been nice but it's still a top backpack.
