4.0 out of 5 stars fantastic day sac 29 Sep 2011
By M. Lam
I brought this bag mainly for the freeflow system to prevent a sweaty clammy back whilst hiking. I have used this bag on hot and cold rainy days. I have noticed my back doesnt get so clammy with the freeflow system which is exactly what i needed.
The bag has enough extra storage spaces for small items in its side and top zip pockets, but the main compartment is deceptively small due to the design of the freeflow system. I do not carry a lot of things with me, so make sure you can carry all the extra clothing you need.

The bag is quite heavy, and the design of the bag seems to put all the weight on the top of my shoulders. It feels top heavy even with all the heavy items at the bottom. The waist strap is disappointingly thin and of not much use.

This rucsac is ideal for a day hike due to its size and also comes with the rain cover.

I like using this bag, though I dont like how it feels on my shoulders as when i first started using it my shoulders would ache.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok but check more before buying. 21 July 2012

Recieved it in the post and was, tbh, a little disappointed. I carefully unpacked it and checked the inside of it. The bag is tall but quite narrow. You wouldn't be able to fit anything too wide in it. It's a little top-heavy and wobbles slightly side to side (this shouldnt be a problem if you don't overfill it). Despite the 25 ltr tag, there's a little less space in it than it looks so if you need something with a reasonable amount of space I suggest you look at a different bag. It's not a bad bag overall though. I'm sure it does a fine job just like any other bag, but the inner compartment lacks too much in width for me and I wouldn't be able to carry the stuff I need to for day trips etc. Don't be decieved by it's looks. A good bag, but such a shame about the shape of the inside.
Think about what you're going to use it for. I returned mine and got something different.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant Berghaus 9 Mar 2013
Colour Name:Jet Black/Coal| Size Name:25 lt|Verified Purchase
Perfect size for day walking. Bought this for my wife, (I use the freeflow 25+5 ) as the 20ltr was not big enough. Extra room in the top with zipped areas. Slim fitting and sits slightly higher than most rucksacks. Very comfortable.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great little bag for day trips. 12 Dec 2012
By Richard
Colour Name:Jet Black/Coal| Size Name:25 lt|Verified Purchase
A great little rucksack that is practical as a day bag and for short trips. It's small and compact but still a fair bit of interior space, and the capacity of the lid pocket is surprising decent as well.

The freeflow system works well although it does mean the main pocket has the curve in it, making the space slightly less practically, but that's what you get if you want a sweat-free back. The rain cover is great to have too. The waist straps are not think and weight-supporting, but they are removable and in fact I don't have mine on at all anymore as they're not needed with a bag this size.

I'm very happy with this bag and would definitely recommend it for everyday bags and day trips, but note it hasn't got a huge amount of space.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great day sack, light and very comfortable 14 July 2013
By David W
Colour Name:Limoge/Eclipse| Size Name:25 lt|Verified Purchase
Enough room for waterproofs, sandwiches and drinks. Easy access to pockets and main body of the sack, perfect for a day out.

Plenty of space in the pockets for sat navs, cameras and personal items. A useful waterproof cover that envelops the main body.

I love it

4.0 out of 5 stars Great rucksack 11 April 2013
Colour Name:Limoge/Eclipse| Size Name:25 lt|Verified Purchase
A really good rucksack with the supports to keep the rucksack off your back and stop sweating. I used this for the first time last week on a walk and it held everything i needed and more.

Waist and chest straps keep it really snug and stop it moving around whilst walking, which makes for a more comfortable walk and forgetting you are carrying it!

The only negative I have found is that you cannot reach a water bottle in the side pocket without taking the rucksack off.

5.0 out of 5 stars Does the job well 5 Feb 2014
By Lorca
Colour Name:Limoge/Eclipse| Size Name:25 lt|Verified Purchase
I bought this for my son, 31, a keen fell-walker. I had reservations about the design as other reviewers said it was narrow, but my son loves it. He thinks it is the perfect size for a serious day's walk, not too cumbersome, takes all his gear - and the air-flow system is effective, too.

I used this rucksack for the 3 peaks challenge. It was light weight and being able to use my water bladder was brilliant. Well made product too.
