Somewhat disappointing... 23 Dec. 2010

In a nutshell, this item is made too cheaply. The plastic is so thin that it bows in around the doorway, creating a gap. It flexes from side to side, and I'd hesitate to stack anything on top of it. The shame of it is that the design is good: It's useful and fits in a small space and the opening is big enough to easily scoop food from. If it had been made with just a bit more material, this item would be a home run. As it is, I don't expect it will hold up too well. "Made in America" labeling aside, I expected better manufacturing when I ordered this.

100 pounds..........really? 4 July 2009

Looking for a way to save space in my feed room these seemed like the perfect solution. I had some reservations but after reading other reviews I purchased two storage units. I use them for 50 pound bags of horse feed and I defy someone to get 100 pounds in one. It is difficult to empty the feed bag into the front of the storage unit as you have to keep pushing the feed toward the back to make room for the rest of the bag. I don't find them particularly rugged either as the bottom one has collapsed a little on one corner after only a couple of months use. I appreciate their space saving feature but probably would not purchase another.

Not for creative dogs! 10 Feb. 2009
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
My dog can get into it even when I put a lock on it. The lock is on the top, not opposite the side hinge (which I think would work better), and the door opens enough for her to get food out. She's a master at getting things open, I admit, but keep it in mind if you dog is, too. I'm goign to try the vittles vaults. I hope the twist top lid on those is enough to foil her efforts, but I imagine she will figure it out as she has every other container I have ever bought. Usually within about ten minutes.

Also, weight estimate is not for dog food. I can't even get 25 lbs in mine without spilling.

OK for the price but 18 Nov. 2011

product is OK for the price but....

1. It holds 1.2 cubic feet. It only holds about 25 lbs of the brand of dry dog food we use. Don't go off the weight listed.
2. Container is made of the lightest/thinnest allowable level of plastic. It might hold up just fine but will not know for a few years.
3. Container door is not air tight. If we have food in it for a long time I assume it will get stale.

cheaply made 1 Aug. 2011
By Kimberly Wright - Published on Amazon.com
This brand is cheaply made and not at all like the Blitz version I had originally bought. I ordered more to store all my dog supplies and was very disappointed. These are useless unless your only going to store something lightweight like a few towels or something. I ordered a "Blitz" brand from Ace Hardware and I so hope it is of the same quality as the ones I ordered in the past. If so, then I will buy more of them...otherwise forget the stacking convenience. It will not store dog food stacked - the bottom bows out and the spots where it is suppose to line up when stacking is a joke. Not worth the money!
