Benny Hill was a total genius who changed humour and entertained the world. One only has to look at the countries in which Benny Hill was loved and watched and you can see that his humour was universal and totally harmless. As a child I remember (before political correctness arrived and took away any sense of humour people were allowed) postcards at the seaside of big fat ladies, skinny men drooling over pretty girls and real double ententre jokes - well thats Benny Hill summed up. Watch his early shows before he had Hills Angels - they are absolutely hysterical, even before Jackie Wright, Bob Todd, and in some cases Henry McGee as well, he was and always will be a master of comedy timing, expressions, imagination and lyrical wit. I bought these for my neice who is 26 and therefore was too young to remember Benny Hill, I also bought them for my Jordanian brother in law - in both cases he was a hit, both of them loving his clever words, clever songs and genuinely funny sketches.
There will never be another Benny Hill and I for one am very sorry he is no longer with us. No-one could replace him, he was unique and without a doubt a great comedian, songwriter and script writer. Let him live on in your memories and in your collection, this is a fine selection of DVD's there are no poor sketches or unfunny inclusions. If you had nothing else in your collection, this alone would keep you amused for days.
I love Benny Hill and I would recommend buying this for the memories of what a great comedian can be.

Benny hill is a Master of comedy .Charlie Chaplin, who died in 1977, was a fan of Hill's work: Hill had discovered that Chaplin, his childhood idol, was a fan when he was invited to Chaplin's home in Switzerland by Chaplin's family and discovered that Chaplin had a collection of Hill's work on video. Hill and Dennis Kirkland were the first outside the family to be invited into Chaplin's private study. Hill was awarded the Charlie Chaplin International Award for Comedy at the 1991 Festival of Comedy in Vevey, Switzerland. and this DVD set of 12 DVD'S Benny Hill:The Complete 70's Annual (Repackaged) [DVD] 1970'S is great to own on DVD you also get Benny hill from 1969 and under the special Feature you have A half-hour silent starring Benny Hill . Political Correctness be damned - Benny was and still is the master of post card comedy and will never be bettered. If you like corny gags, innuendo and slapstick then this is the set for you. Laugh out loud funny with no foul language and no nastiness! Sheer class and genius!
