For those of you who are ABBA fans and expect this CD to be full of pop tunes, this is NOT the CD for you. If you are a fan of Benny's compositions and are open to a new listening experience, however, please buy this CD. I have been a Benny Andersson/ABBA fan for over 25 years, and I am very impressed with this CD. I am convinced that Benny is one of the best (if not THE best) composer of the 20th century. Thankfully, he is showing no signs of slowing down. Compared to his other solo works (Klinga Mina Klockor & November 1989), he departs from the 3-4 fiddles & accordion arrangements and lets more musicians in on the fun. If you listen closely, you can hear shades of the more experiemental moments found in The Visitors (ABBA), Chess & even Kristina Fran Duvemala. Benny has remained true to his Scandinavian folk music heritage throughout his career (yes, even with ABBA). Like the songs he & Bjorn wrote for ABBA, these songs are very catchy (in a "folsky" sort of way). If you are especially playful, break out the beer and polka 'til you drop! Purchasing this CD is well worth your while if you want to experience Benny's true musical genius.
