ive had all kinds of ropes.. cuboards like the narnia of jump ropes.. even got some buddy lee ones kicking bout but for me this is the rope choice for me.. i order these like the boat load so if u see some in stock grab them quick haha.. nah on a serious note i think this rope is so balanced.. its sort of heavy ie. the ropes heavier than the handles which i feel makes it turn so much better than some of the nylon speed ropes.. dont get me wrong there is some good speed ropes about but i tend to skip outside so light ropes tend to flap about abit.. i can dance round my drive like an idiot with this rope altho this is not really a trick rope.. it does keep its shape though which is one of the first things you will notice if u buy this.. it is adjustable in length aswell and it does a good job of doing that.. some ropes say you can adjust the length but afta youve tied a knot in the nylon it just doesnt turn properly.. the benlee one does adjust properly altho if u do ave some metal snips at hand it might be worth just nipping the overhang off a lil bit.. u can buy some metal weights that slip in the handles aswell for this rope.. and they do work! altho then the handles are heavier than the rope so it might throw ur rhythm off a lil bit but doesnt take long to get ya two step back on.. now im not gonna lie here and this is one thing u must keep your eye on.. watch when the rope wears down.. afta every session check the rope.. its metal coated with plastic.. you might look dabber when its sparking under your feet in the dark but once its worn down to the metal it frays.. and those frays will stick to your head like a hedgehog so make sure you always check the rope.. esecially if your kids are using it.. but i use it outside on concrete so thats why it wears down.. inside i would say it would be fine..Read more ›

HAVING BOUGHT SEVERAL NYLON ROPES THAT KEPT BREAKING I PURCHASED THESE AND SO FAR THEY SHOW NO SIGNS OF WEARING AT THE WEAK POINT OF THE OTHER (AT THE HANDLE)

Having used this rope on both concrete and wooden laminate flooring, I can give my honest opinion on its functionality. The rope is much slower than a speed rope and the speed from the bearing feels like a leather rope, the metal which is in the rope adds to the extra weight when you turn it and for beginners this can be annoying as you can get tangled/tripped majority of the time, although you can adjust to this with practice/repeated use. I feel the rope is inconsistent and can only use it for the basics. Difficult to do double unders or crazy rope tricks, it feels as if the weight in the rope stops it from moving at the speed you want. Style and design of the rope is appealing and is very solid shows no sign of losing it's form or tearing of any sort. Overall, a decent rope recommended for the experienced user.

This is now my third rope this year. This is the first wire rope one. I find the handles very cheap and was suprised at the way the rope attaches. The box gives no instructions and all photographs missleading. You have to double the rope back on itself and lace through the second hole. It works but is not great. The product skips well but I think I will go a little more up-market next time.
