Although the author wrote this book almost exactly 250 years ago the advice is still just as true and relevant today as it was back then. This book is full of sound advice about attitudes to life, work and money management. Many of the sayings that Franklin included are still in use today such as "no pain, no gain" As we all reflect on the folly of recent times with excessive consumer borrowing and our obsession with accruing stuff be it cars, the latest fashion, expensive meals and generally over spending then this little book makes for a sobering read. It's just full of little life tips and fables and is not dull or depressing. I liked it so much I am buying copies for my kids. We tend to think we are so much wiser and more enlightened than our ancestors and in some respects of course we are but I urge people to read this book and I am confident you will learn some life lessons from it.

A great little book, that teaches a lot in a few pages. Keep it in your Jacket's pocket and read it whenever you have a minute to spare.
A very practical read for especially busy executives; it should take maybe less than a hour.

Ben says it all with lots of "catchy" sayings! It is a must read for anyone -- including children/young adults.

No Harvard MBA would be complete without the wisdom contained within this little book. A captivating story line with principles and nuggets of truth just leaping off of the page. Will it take a week to progress start to finish? No , hardly an hour!

Shouldn't take an hour to read from start to finish. Written over 250 years ago it was a privilege to read. Yes, you have to concentrate as the literature is slightly different to our modern tongue, but this gives it a delightful quaintness.

I've always believed that finance should be on the school curriculum and I'd love this to be issued to every child at that time. OK it unlikely to ever happen but if you see this book get yourself a copy.

Brilliant snip-its of advice that had me smiling (and agreeing) all way through. Superb!
