Hats off to writer Derren Litten for delivering yet another brilliantly scripted series of Benidorm. This time each episode is an hour long which could so easily have backfired and made the episodes tediously drawn out, but it works really well. I guess that in an hour format you can tell more of a story - and it shows.
This third series is crammed full of guest stars, including: Sheridan Smith, Robin Askwith, Tim Healy, Keith Barron (in a respectful nod to Duty Free's influence on Benidorm), Una Stubbs and Stuart McGugan (It Ain't Half Hot Mum) playing a character called "Wink" - which was very appropriate, as he turned out to be a bit of a "winker!". Derren Litten even managed to successfully shoe-horn back in Martin's wife Kate (played by Abigail Cruttenden).
A fabulous, funny and sometimes moving series (we've got to know and care about these OTT! characters) plus more locations featured around Benidorm, and The Oracle finally finds himself a "proper" girlfriend. Thoroughly recommended.

The Christmas special was a bit dissapointing but the third and hopefully not final season was absolutely brilliant! The final episode has had me laughing for a week and I tracked down the song "Blues Spanish Eyes" which features at the end of the series. It is best sung by The Very Best Of Al Martino and has inspired me to also buy Elvis, Humperdink and Julio Iglesias albums.
Usually at the end of a series there is a tragic accident but at the end of this one it is more of a celebration of the characters and possibly the recent death in October of Al Martino who I think sings at the end with Madge and Mel

We thoroughly enjoyed this series on tv, so had no hesitation in buying dvd. Top class, side-splitting comedy, that can be enjoyed over and over.

good yes and no
Still a good series but not as good as previous ones, However Time Healey as cross dresser Lesley together with Jonnie Vegas was well worth buying the DVD for Brilliant!

Disappointing but has its moments
Series 1 and 2 were fantastic but this series runs out of steam. The actors and script seem to border on the ridiculous - such a pity. Read more

Hilarious
Having bought series 1 and 2 and really enjoyed them, series 3 gets better. The characters are all funny, especially the Oracle's Mum.
