5.0 out of 5 stars Bengali Flower: A spiritual journey through India 28 Jun 2010
By Amazon Customer - Published on
Bengali Flower provides it's readers with a full taste of India and Bangladesh. With Rabindranath Tagore's poetry as the centerpiece, the author lays out a road map that takes its reader on an historical, geographical, cultural, religious, and artistic journey through the region. The poetry is beautiful in its simplicity and expression of nature and of daily life and of children and of childhood dreams. The use of biblical scripture ties differing cultures together at a human and spiritual level. A wonderful book for anyone who enjoys poetry, scripture or wishes to learn more about the people of India and Bangladesh. Great resource for a student book report.
