It bares a resemblance to the previous Benedict Cumberbatch biography released last year, in that it contains quotes from interviews that have been repeated endlessly online for the last few years.
I took less than 2 hours to read this as I had a feeling I'd read it before. I have a feeling the best biography of him will be an autobiography. I think he's wise enough not to attempt it for at least another 10 years!

This is a very well-written, comprehensive listing of Cumberbatch's acting achievements and rise as an actor from childhood to international fame. True, it does not have any direct interviews with the man himself but this is more than made up with comments from those around him, including his actor parents (who also appear as Sherlock's parents). I also enjoyed the stories that surround the plays, shows and plays that he is in, little bits of history. If you're looking for salacious tit-bits avoid, but for those like me who want to learn a little bit more about the man it is perfect.

A great biography to read whilst we wait for the almost inevitable autobiography from the man himself. A good way to find out what makes Benedict such an awesome character actor.

Sorry to say there is nothing in this book that you could not find out by looking on the internet. I think its just riding on the coat tails of Benedict Cumberbatch success.

I really enjoyed this book, the credits at the end are very impressive! He devotes more to Sherlock than other books and I like the quotes

A well written book by someone who has clearly spent time studying their subject and working out what makes them tick. It was well written enough to keep the casual fan interested and also enough detail to hold the attention of the more hardcore cumberbitches (or Cumberbabes).
